fso-gsmd-n900 software package provides freesmartphone.org GSM daemon for Nokia N900, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fso-gsmd-n900
fso-gsmd-n900 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fso-gsmd-n900 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fso-gsmd-n900 *
